What is preventive, personalized medicine?

At Savant Wellness, we build a full picture of your health and risk factors to understand factors unique to you and inform a personalized health plan. Most of the medical world follows what are referred to as ‘general guidelines’ based on statistics to provide diagnoses and treatments that work for the majority of people. We spend more time with our patients, build deep relationships and are your companions through a long-term journey towards helping you live your best, healthiest, and most successful life. Led by Dr. Savant, an experienced health care physician, you can feel peace of mind knowing you have an expert with a full picture of your health.

How does your membership work and what’s included?

Joining Savant Wellness as a member is a subscription-based service and our fees include a comprehensive annual assessment, two Biological Age tests annually, coaching on an individual wellness plan and access to a primary care doctor for urgent medical needs. We offer a number of payment methods. Because we accept a limited number of patients to our panels, we encourage all prospective clients to sign up for a no-cost meet and greet with one of our providers to learn more.

What is a biological age test?

Rather than your chronological age, this simple blood test measures your epigenetic or biological age – how fast or slowly your body is aging at the cellular level. Determined by analyzing your DNA methylation, your biological age is more accurate for identifying factors affecting your aging rate. Aging is the leading risk factor for multiple chronic diseases, so the impact of slowing your biological aging process means, quite literally, adding more healthy years to your life.

What might a Wellness plan entail?

With Savant Wellness, your plan is developed a health care physician who has a full picture of your health. We always aim to optimize health with lifestyle interventions first. This may include a personalized diet plan, tailored exercise regime, supplementation strategy, sleep tracking, and/or additional therapies (ie. intermittent fasting, cold immersion, sauna, etc.). If necessary, we will turn to pharmaceuticals or additional treatment recommendations, depending on your needs.

Will My Insurance Be Billed For My Office Visit?

Yes. We bill your insurance company directly for any sick-care related visits or services. If your insurance carrier/plan requires a co-pay, we will collect it at the time of service.

Is Savant Wellness a Participating Provider for Medicare?

Yes. We will bill Medicare as well as your supplemental insurer on your behalf, as required by law.

Is Dr. Savant on Staff at Any Hospitals?

Dr. Savant is affiliated with St. Mary’s Medical Center and St. Francis Memorial Hospital

Can an HSA, FSA or HRA card be used for membership payments to Savant Wellness?

Yes, HSA, FSA or HRA may be used towards membership payment, but it is important to note that we always recommend that our patients reach out to your plan coordinators directly, as guidelines vary.

Do you accept patients of all ages?

At this time, we are only able to provide services to patients that are 18+.

Is there a minimum commitment for the program?

Achieving optimal health requires commitment. Our programs are offered on an annual basis. We find that it takes a minimum average of 3 full months to see initial, measurable results and a year to see sustained progress. This accounts for the time it takes to complete your testing and bloodwork, review results, meet with your provider, implement interventions, and allow time for impact to occur. Our team is fully committed to supporting you throughout your health journey and, in becoming a Savant Wellness patient, ask that you commit to yourself to reap the full benefits of our care.

What is your cancellation policy?

Our programs are offered on annual plans at this time. If you wish to cancel after the initial 4-month commitment period, you can do so by emailing contact@savantwellness.com.

What if I Have an Emergency?

If you have a life-threatening emergency, call 911. After you hang up, please contact us. We will assist in the coordination of your emergency care thereafter. Contact Dr. Savant before going to an urgent care facility at any time of the day or night.

What Do I Do if I Become Ill while Traveling or Away on an Extended Vacation?

Contact us for any questions or concerns while traveling. Our mobile app is especially useful at these times. As always, call 911 first if you have a critical or life-threatening emergency.

What if I Need to See a Specialist or a Surgeon?

We know there are times when you may need to see a doctor outside of our practice. Savant Wellness is available to help you decide which specialists to see and to coordinate consultations so we can ensure your continuity of care.
